Access has 3 parts: 3 practical and potent ways of utilizing experienced designers

1. Practical assessments to spot hidden problems.

We evaluate your product from a variety of perspectives – communication, visual design, information architecture, experience heuristic etc.
Anything that could possibly throw off a user, reflect poorly on the product, send the wrong message etc is circled out.

2. Contextual and actionable solutions.

Next we aim to solving these problems by providing fixes that the team can make itself without having to waste a lot of time, or worse warrant a redesign.
These fixes are meant to be contextual, relatively low effort but with a high return on effort and impact.

3. Expert sessions with senior designers

Uncover insights and ideas that might otherwise take many iterations of a product.
Serving as a springboard for further ideation, teams can bounce off concepts, investigate what-if scenarios, discuss product plans and pick the brains of our design and tech experts.

    Do you redesign the product?

    Access does not aim at redesigning your product. It aims at finding areas of improvement in the design decisions, explain them and fix them with solutions that are prescriptive. The fixes can be lucid directives, flows, sometimes wireframes, references or sometimes even an asset if it becomes difficult to explain.

    Do you work only with Startups or other teams as well?

    While this was built with the constraints of startups in mind, we are always open to working with small, independent teams that can be helped with clear and practical design leadership.

    What happens if we don't like your solution?

    Access enables an engagement with highly senior designers with years of experience. During constructive discussions, it’s always possible to have disagreements when the context of the business doesn’t agree with acceptable practices and solutions. We will be willing to discuss such contentions subjectively based on the case in hand. Solutions are based on Design as a practice and an understanding of the business context. They aren’t necessarily correlated with the expected outcomes of the team.

    Can you work on making the changes happen after giving us the solutions?

    One of Access’ USPs is providing executable solutions. Some of them are quick, while others might take a while for your team to execute. For instance, we might ask you to use a particular tool to correctly compress your images so you get light higher-res images. That’s something we can verify with you during our 2.5 weeks of time. However, if we suggest to you that your insurance application form needs to be restructured in the hub and spoke model (the basics of which we’ll provide), it might need a much longer execution time from you during which time we won’t be together. If you’d alternatively want to engage with us in our full capacity we are always looking forward to working with you using our standard Club model of design as a service.
